Hi everyone, Daisy Mae here. If you don’t know who I am (shame on you). No really, if you don’t know who I am let me introduce myself. I’m Crystal’s pet Cat and the other half of CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE. I help out when something happens that Crystal can’t post.
The reason why she isn’t hear is because well she’s had a rough few months. As the title states, Life hit her and her family hard then through her some curve balls to top it all off. I guess it all started way back in April a few days before April 22, 2021. The Dad had started hurting some and then Mom started getting body aches too. Neither one thought anything about it because Dad was out mowing and Crystal picking up sticks so they blamed it all on either a Sinus Cold, Allergies, pollen and bending to much and using muscles she hasn’t used in a year’s time in Crystal’s case (don’t ask). After almost a weeks time and the pain hadn’t left yet it was then Crystal started suspecting something was off and wrong. 2 days later, Crystal’s youngest sister popped in to check in on everyone and when she heard Dad’s symptom’s she said we’re going to get you tested for COVID and that’s when Crystal spoke up and said, I want tested too. So on April 22, 2021 the day the Dad and Crystal were to get their first vaccine shot well that didn’t happen instead they went to this place called Faster Care. After hearing their symptoms they tested them both and the Dad’s Rapid COVID test was negative but Crystal’s COVID test was positive. The strange part is The Dad’s COVID test that was sent out came back positive and Crystal’s came back positive. That evening The Dad was sent to the ER due to Covid then the Hospital people sent Dad home then the following Monday he went to hospital by ambulance then came home a few days later then on Memorial Day Dad went back to the hospital by ambulance once again. Mom Crystal has gone from being a part time caregiver to a full time caregiver who cooks(well bakes mostly), cleans and cares for her Mother who hasn’t been out of the house for quite some time because her Dermatomyositus and Lupus has made her immobile.
I suppose some bright spots in all this is that Crystal’s Dad is progressing very slowly each and that she has won one big contest and some small ones too. The big contest she won the prizes were a Kindle Fire With Aleza, $150 Amazon Gift Card and a few EBooks.
We want to give a huge thanks to Ellen and “Nurse” Joanie for the Card. The picture of “Nurse” Joanie made my Human Mom smile and she loved it. It lifted her spirits greatly(which she needed might I add). Thanks to all our readers.
Crystal hopes to be back soon but is not sure when but I will pop in to post every now and then.
I’ve added some Cat pictures for Feline Friday. ENJOY!!!!
I would like to be more playful and less noisy (less vocal).
The color of my fur is black and white.
Leaving my Cat Mamma was a difficult choice to make.
I never have trouble sleeping.
Hi Everyone, due to Mom Crystal and the rest of her family caught the dreaded Covid Virus so she won’t be doing Friendly Fill – Ins this week but that’s Ok because I did them. Boy do I hope I get back to my normal real soon.
Hi Everyone, Daisy Mae Here, I have some exciting and thrilling news to share with you all. You see, I had this green pet carrier Mom Crystal used when I was a Kitten and I fit in it real good then I became a Senior Kitty almost a Cougar Kitty Cat. Well approximately a year or two years ago Mom Crystal and her Mom & Dad took me into the Vet for my routine check up no problem right? Well that’s a huge WRONG. You see here is my story in short. The Vet trip started in chaos like it always does because well I don’t like my pet carrier and don’t travel well. Mom Crystal sat in the backseat of the vehicle playing with me and trying to calm me down. Finally we got to the Vet building. Mom Crystal’s Mom stayed in the vehicle while Mom Crystal & her Dad went into the Vet building with me. Just as we turned the corner around the reception desk it happened, my pet carrier fell apart and the roof of it caved in on me and I was trapped even though I tried to get out but didn’t. Finally the nice Vet Tech people saw what happened to me and took us in right away. The vet Tech people even attempted to put my pet carrier back together but to no avail, they put the pet carrier back together backwards and when we got home the Dad took the pet carrier apart and put it together better and stronger. To Say the least, I am afraid to get in my pet carrier now.
Since Mom Crystal has had a blog since 2017, she’s been looking for a new pet carrier online for me. Then just last year on Sweet Purrfections Blog which is a great blog by the way, Mom Crystal got a post from Sweet Purrfections since she follows them and I’m glad she does. Anyhoo, they had this post and did a review on this 5 in 1 pet carrier. Then below the sponsor was giving away this pet carrier. Chances of winning were 50-50 lower for Mom Crystal since she’s not on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tik Tok and etc…. But one of the chances were to comment and you had to them why you thought you should win the 5 in 1 pet carrier so Mom Crystal told them about my traumatic experience at the Vet. When she found out she had won she was excited, thrilled, shocked and happy for me all at the same time. Ever since this pandemic hit in 2020, I haven’t had a chance to use my new pet carrier yet. Mom Crystal is very grateful.

What I Thought Of The Sunrise At Normandy Series?
I just loved this series by author Sarah Sundin. This series is made up of a trio fictional stories based on actual events. I loved how Sarah Sundin pulled the series together. She based the events of each book around each Paxton brother. For example, Book 1 was based on Lt. Wyatt Paxton, Book 2 was based on Lt. Adler Paxton and Book 3 was based on Private Clay Paxton.
The series was very interesting, intriguing, action packed and showed how the women helped the men battle why they were serving. I loved this series so much I hated to put it down. I also noticed that when I read this series I found 2 recurring themes. The themes I found were: Love and Forgiveness. For those of you who like romance books this series even has romance. The best part of this series is everyone can read it—YEAH!! I hope you all pick this series up and read it.
My Recommendation, Will I Read Again & More
My Recommendation is to go buy, read & review this book. Just go read this series, I know you’ll like it. Yes, I will read this series again and my Rating for each book is 5+ and for this series is 5+.
The death of island playboy Curtis Marlin doesn’t register on busy caterer River Holloway’s radar…that is, until her brother and his girlfriend are arrested for the former athlete’s murder. Certain of the pair’s innocence, the amateur sleuth sets out to investigate. Suspicion spreads like chocolate sauce when River questions the victim’s teammates. The suspects don’t appreciate her stirring up trouble, but she won’t let an election-hungry sheriff make her brother a sacrificial lamb.
But there’s more than murder on River’s to-do list. A missing groom, catered banquets, and River’s own wedding plans keep her hopping like a short order cook. And as the cherry on the sundae, she has a wild kitty to tame. Under mossy oaks and rustling palmettoes, fact and fiction blend in a mouthwatering romp of good eatin’ and yummy recipes. Spawning Suspicion is the second in Toussaint’sSeafood Capers Mystery Series.
My Honest Review Of The Book
Spawning Suspicion is a fun, intriguing, suspenseful, interesting, mysterious, action packed, page turner book with a touch of romance in it. Another thing I liked was the recipes in the book. I just loved this book. I know I know, I read book 2 first. So why did I do things this way? Probably because I won book 2 and now I have something to look forward to—to read book 1. I also loved how Maggie Toussaint worked the Cat in the story. How the Cat acts is well just like a typical Cat. I laughed and laughed as I read this book. I will say this too, how the book ended was tragic and thought there could be a third book in the series.
My Recommendation For The Book
My Recommendation for Spawning Suspicion is to go buy, read and review this clean book that everyone can read. I will read this book again and will hopefully get Book 1.

Hi Everyone, I thought I would share with you the Prologue of my book When Love & Murder Collide. I would appreciate it if you could tell me what you you think of it too. Also, I sure hope you can read this post because ever since WordPress has changed to the Block Editor, I’ve been trying to relearn things. Ever since they changed, I haven’t been able to choose to write in Classic Editor. No it’s Classic Block and trust me it’s not the same thing. Right now this post was written in Post/Paragraph mode. Hope your able to read this post. Well without further adieu let’s proceed to the Prologue which is below. ENJOY!!
It was 1981 and Diann and her two sisters Irene and Ilene had completed Elementary School in Stewart, Ireland and next semester Irene and Ilene would be starting seventh grade at the High School while she would be starting eighth grade. However, what happened next would change all their lives forever. Would it be for the better was yet to be determined. When Diann, Irene and Ilene’s Mom came into the room, she told her three Daughters that they would be changing schools next semester. After they got done moaning and wining, Diann said what her and her sisters were thinking. Mom, I think I speak for all us when I say we love our school and things are going fairly well. Irene and Ilene spoke up and said in unison, yes Mom we agree with Diann please do not make us change schools. Diann their Mother said, I am really sorry girls but it has been decided and your Father agrees. We are trying another school to see if the bullying against Diann lessens. Ilene said, when do we leave since you and Dad are so set on leaving? Well to answer your question about when do we leave? We leave in two months for Friendlyville. Your Father will stay behind as he will be starting his new duties. Diann said, new duties what are Dad’s new duties? Well your Father and I are happily and excited to say the crown will be passed down to your Father and his Coronation is in two weeks. Once your Father is crowned King, you three will become Princesses and we will become royalty. Diann, Irene, and Ilene’s Father’s Coronation Day finally came. They were all finally shown to the Throne Room. They all took their seats and waited for the time when their Father would be shown into the Throne Room to be crowned King. Thirty five minutes later with trumpets and horns blaring, they brought the new King in and and crowned him and put the royal purple robe on him. Then after they did that, they put special robes on Diann, Irene and Ilene and gave a special robe to their Mother too. After they all had been given their robes, they all knew their lives as regular children had just changed.
Two weeks before Diann and her two sisters were about to start High school, their Mother had a sit down emergency meeting with her three Daughters. They had a nice long talk about what they should do and finally decided they should hide the fact they are Princesses or have anything to do with royalty. Then because it was early in the Morning, their Mother took her three Daughters shopping for school clothes. When they had come home, it was around four in the Evening. They had so many shopping bags of school clothes and accessories it would be so hard to choose what to wear on the first day of High School. Finally it was time to eat Supper and sadly it would be their last Supper as a family for a while because the next Morning her two sisters, Mother and her would leave for some place called Friendlyville. That night Diann was really, really restless probably because she did not want to go to this place called Friendlyville. Mirium who was the royal food server brought the food up to everyone’s royal Bedroom so they were to be sure to have a good Breakfast before leaving for the Ireland Airport. After five and a half very long hours, they got to Friendlyville now for the hard part, finding some place to stay temporarily. Surprisingly, it only took them ten to fifteen minutes to find a place. The very next Morning Diann, Irene and Ilene’s Mother drove them over to the Friendlyville High School and went into the Reception Room where a man was sitting behind the desk doing some typing. Diann the Mother rang the bell on the desk and he finally came to help her. He said, How may I help you Maam? Well… I am here to register my three Daughters in this High School. The guy at the desk looked at her then said Maam, You do realize that the registration time is past? Diann the Mother said, That might be true but we are from Stewart, Ireland and so I ask you once again will you not register my three Daughters for this High School and if you will not then I will find someone who will. One moment Maam and I will get you a registration paper. Here you go. Write down everyone who you want to register, and what grades they will be going into and finally their birth dates of course. So Mrs. Royalty did just that and her three Daughters were registered for the Friendlyville High School just like that.
Despite all the bullying Diann had endured and Ilene tried to stop, the bullying continued and seemed to worsen each day. The main bully got really bold and decided to walk up to Diann one day at Dinner while in the High School Cafeteria and said something to the effect of Let us go fight after High School is out? With all the students that were eating with her and all the students surrounding her, they all waited with baited breath to see what her answer to the bully would be. Diann sat there a bit and finally said to her bully, I do not think so and the Bully walked away from her. It was 1986 and for the first time in a long time Diann had felt like she had done something good for her self and her self esteem seemed like it was so much better. She thought…. If I can just survive what bullying there is until Graduation Day, I might just make it. Two weeks later it was Graduation Day and many of the Seniors were home getting ready for their big day or at least that is what they were supposed to be doing. Diann said to her Mom, you know I will be so glad when I graduate tonight. OH Sweetheart, I am so proud of you despite everything that has happened to you. Thanks Mom. I hope things get better. Later that Night, Diann graduated from the Friendlyville High School and now was off to tackle finding the right college and then off and then off to find the right job in her field that she got her degrees in.
As most of you know I wrote my first 5 book box set just to see if I could do it. The result -I accomplished it. Afterward, I took a few months break from writing and also debating as I wasn’t surethat I was going to write another book even though I wanted to. After talking with a my mentor and author I decided to write another book but not in a box set this time. I finally started my book a little bit before the first of year in 2021. I started my book with a different title but didn’t really like it so I changed it to When Love & Murder Collide. The book is a Murder Mystery/Suspense/Clean Romance book. I also have a lot plot twists and turns.
I have accomplished so much in the last few months. A lot more than what I thought I would have accomplished. Right now, I have completed the Prologue throughthe start of Chapter 8 which = 15,775 words. I have no idea how many chapters will be in this book but hope the book will be at least novel length or at least 40,000 words.
Writing & accomplishing writing a book is the best feeling. You feel like there actually may be a chance at getting this book published and that’s a great feeling. Who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky enough to be able to publish this book. Right now, I’m just concentrating on getting the book written.
I came toread this book by chance actually. Let me explain. The author of this book Kristen McKanagh, the author of this book & series, I follow her newsletter. She was having this fun and zany random drawing of her book Snowball’s Christmas and guess what? I was one of her winners to get the book. I had to post a picture of my pets. The pictures I posted of my pet was of my Cat Snowball. The for the that post is: Snowball . Please check the post out. I was so happy and thrilled to find out I was one of the winners.
Amazon ExcerptOf Snowball’s Christmas
Snowball—an aptly named bundle of feline fur fluff–is thankful to be spending her first Christmas in the comfort of Weber House, the Victorian B&B run by Miss Tilly. Emily Diemer, who cooks for the guests, dotes on Snowball, but she’s not thrilled about another new arrival at the B&B: Miss Tilly’s nephew, Lukas. Which is odd, because Snowball’s animal instincts tell her that Lukas and Emily should definitely be friends.
Everything Emily needs is in this quaint community–including, she hopes, the chance to open her own bakery one day. She doesn’t think much of Lukas for leaving his aging aunt to struggle while he jets around the world taking photographs. But now that he’s here, helping to spruce up the property and getting mixed up in Snowball’s antics, She begins to soften a little. Until she learns what he has planned.
Booklist, Starred Review
Lukas isgoing to sell Weber House so that Miss Tilly can retire. But Snowball is certain that this B&B, and these people, are supposed to be her forever home. Somehow she has to get these stubborn humans to see things through the wisdom of a cat’s eye, and a kitten’s loyal, loving heart…
“Expertlycrafted…the Perfect Christmas treat”
What I Thought Of Snowball’s Christmas
I thought this Snowball’s Christmas was an excellent book and very well written. I loved laughing along with Snowball’s antics and I also loved trying to tell a fictional character what to do. This is a book that tells how a white feline fur ball named Snowball got her furrever home.
I’m so glad I got the opportunity to win this book because reading it made me laugh until I cried. Loved this book.
Will IRead Again & Recommendation
I will definitely read again and I definitely Highly recommend this book. Do me a favor and go buy this book and review it. Something tells me you’ll like this book. I know I did.
A few days ago, Daisy Mae And I asked for Library Cards so we can be officially guests at Amber, Basil and Crew’s Library. They said that they would be happy and thrilled to give us Library Cards and told us what they needed. We obliged. Here are our Library Cards. Thanks Amber, Basil and Crew.
Growing up,I always had some sort of pet for as long as I can remember from Chameleons to Cats. Today I want to tell you about a dog I used to have and her name was Kandy. Kandy was a German Shepherd/Husky mix. We got her as puppy dog. Since she was part German Shepherd/Husky we knew she would be a “runner” and we were right. I don’t know how many times she got away from us all because she was stronger and faster than my family and I.
We hadn’t had problems with her chewing until one evening my family and I came home to a gaping hole in the wall that shouldn’t be there. Let me try to explain. Our house was 100+ years old at that time and some of our walls had paneling. Our jaws almost dropped to the floor in disbelief at what we were looking at. So off to to the vet we go with Kandy to make sure she was OK and didn’t ingest anything she shouldn’t have or anything dangerous. We were fortunate that everything was OK with Kandy. Our vet did give us a tip to curb chewing in Dogs. The tip our vet gave us and you’re more than welcome to use is: Give your Dog(s) a Pine Log to curb their chewing. She also told us a Pine Log is healthy for your Dog(s). Let me tell you we tried this tip and it really worked. The hole is fixed and can’t tell where it was.
1. Daisy Mae And I started our Blogging Journey well as a fluke. I kept getting all these pop ups and Ads about start blogging WordPress several times a day. I guess you could say we got tired of seeing these ads so we started blogging out of pure curiosity. That was 3 years ago soon to be 4 on CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE and we just celebrated our 4th year over at WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING) . You see, I started WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE (ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING) first which was in Jan. 2017 and started CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE in April of 2017. I have contributed to other blogs and just started another blog this past year in 2020 on the Google/Blogger platform. My blog over there is called TIGGER AND FRIENDS .
2. One thing about my blog or my blogging goal that you accomplished in 2020, that made you most proud. I finished my first 5 book box set draft. That’s right you read that right. I was able to learn how to continue using Classic Editor despite WordPress introducing and implementing The New Block Editor (which I hate might I add).
3. Which of my 2020 posts was most popular with my audience? Why do I think it did so well? Well I was surprised at my most popular post. It seems it was my Home Page/Archives post with 146 views. However after that, is my post A Tribute to Tigger with 53 views. Another popular post was An Unexpected Friendship with 76 views (Sept. 2019). Why did these posts do so well? I think people want to see who I am and what’s our blog about and A Tribute To Tigger did well I think because of the love of Cats, animal lovers, people who love poetry, people just curious to see who we are but most of all our wonderful regular readers.
4. What was the biggest blogging challenge we faced in 2020, and how did we tackle it? Our biggest challenge was trying to make time to put up posts on our blog. How did we tackle it? We posted when we could and “played everything by ear”.
5. What is one thing we learned 2020 that can help us be better bloggers? Actually, the one thing I learned to help us all become better was right after I started blogging. I learned how important a blog title and blog tag is and my one thing we learned in 2020 was how to still be able to use Classic Editor after the Block Editor was implemented.
6. What are our top 3 goals for 2021?
a.To post more.
b. To get more readers andfollowers.
c.To comment more.
d.To start writing a book and get at least part of it completed.
7. In a perfect world, where do we see ourselves and your blog(s) 1 year from now? There is no such thing as a perfect world. With how 2020 was and 2021 started out well we really don’t know. However, we hope things get better all around and we’re still here a year from now. We’re hoping for more posts, followers, readers and so much more.
8. If you had $1,000 to spend on your blog how would you spend it? We would buy a custom domain name and use some money for SEO too. We’re not good SEO/technical stuff.
9. What is one skill we’d like to learn or improve in 2021? SEO/Technical stuff. We hope that gets better.
10. If you could ask the pet blogging community for help with challenge you’re having with your blog, what would it be? MMM… Can only ask 1 question huh? Meowsers that’s a hard question. How can we improve our blog with our SEO/technical stuff and why is it so important? We promise this is all 1 question. We need to ask our wonderful pet blogging community a lot of questions.
Today I want to talk about one of my Cats. Her name is Snowball. Snowball was rescued/adopted after she survived by going from house to house trying to survive and find food however she could.
One afternoon, Snowball came to our house hoping to find food which she did I might add. In addition, she also found and figured out that it was the Dad who she had to convince to let her into to his life as she had already had convinced the rest of the family. So when the Dad lade down on the glider to rest, she hopped on the glider with the Dad and snuggled tight up against in hopes to convince Dad to give her a furrever loving home. Well guess what? Yep, it worked. That day Snowball got her furrever, loving home.
Below are a few pictures of Snowball. I think you will enjoy them.
1. I hope my furrever family’s love never changes.
2. The luckiest I have ever been was when I got my furrever, loving family.
3. I never thought I would agree with Mom Crystal, but I did.
4. I’m waiting for the day that this COVID thing goes away for good.
1. I hope the love I have for my Cat and other animals never changes.
2. The luckiest I’ve ever been was when I had a pet as my friend.
3. I never thought I would see the day our Capitol Building was breached and stormed, but I did.
4. I’m waiting for the day to come when I see God because I have so many questions for Him.
Also, we ask you all to check out Angel Tigger’s Friendly Fill – In answers over at her blog which can be found by clicking on the following link: FRIENDLY FILL – INS WITH TIGGER and Angel Tigger’s other blog posts are at the following link: TIGGER AND FRIENDS .

What I Thought:
Wow!! This book is mysterious, suspenseful, very intriguing, a page turner, easy to read, lots of plot twists and turns, keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I actually hated to put this book down. I loved this book. This book was excellent and well written. Kudos to the author. I look forward to reading the rest of this author’s books in print format.
My Book Recommendation:
I highly recommend this book and suggest you go out and buy this book, read it yourself and hopefully review it. I will definitely be reading this book again in the future.
A Friendly Suggestion:
Parents, Grandparents, Legal Guardians, if for some reason you question whether your kids or grandkids should read the book just by reading the book excerpt or by looking at the book cover then I suggest you read the book first yourself then make your decision. But I found nothing wrong with reading this book.
I reached out to the author to review her books. She provided me with a paperback copy of the book in exchange for my honest review. The above review is my honest review. I do not charge to do reviews.
