Daisy Mae And I are very thankful that my Dad is doing so much better and able to walk again. Crystal and her family have had rough few months since April 22, 2021.
Now for the Friendly Fill – Ins. Mom Crystal And I will be splitting up doing the Friendly Fill – Ins. Mom Crystal’s answers for questions 1 & 2 will be in Purple and my answers for questions 3 & 4 will be in Blue. Now onto our Friendly Fill – Ins answers.
1. Something I lost, and was never able to find was my college class ring. It’s been missing/lost for several years but still have some hope of finding it.
2. When I’m writing or even when I’m not writing, I want to publish my book. It’s a dream I have to be published.
3. Sleepy practically all day except for eating and drinking some & exercising some doesn’t bother me.
Just recently Mom Sister Crystal had Participated in a weekly blog hop over at All Recipe Books AKA Esme’s Senior Salon. Mom Crystal’s win happened a few weeks ago. Although Esme’s blog is named All Recipe Books, she helps other bloggers get more traffic by doing a special blog hop and the prize well the person who wins the most views gets to be a featured blogger their post/posts. It’s a win-win for both sides. So what did Mom Crystal win? She won free classes from Esme for Canva.
Another thing that Esme does is she shares your posts. She really cares and wants to help bloggers. Best part is your posts don’t have to be about food or recipes and you can your old posts.
What is Remember Me Thursday? Remember Me Thursday is a special day when we remember all the pets we’ve adopted and saved. Each pet that was either rescued/adopted is very unique in their own special way.
I’ve no my family and I have adopted/rescued all our pets that we’ve had. OK, I’ve had 2 dogs that were pure bread and from breeders but I consider them adopted/rescued too because in my mind, we rescued/adopted them from the breeders. No more breeding—Yeah!!
I would like to share some Rescue/Adoption stories with you. Stories are below.
Adoption Story #1: Snowball
SNOWBALL DOING YOGA EXERCISES AND THIS POSE IS CALLED THE STAND ON YOUR HEAD POSE.
SNOWBALL IN THE LAUNDRY BASKET.
SNOWBALL MAKING HERSELF FIT ON THE ROCKING CHAIR.
SNOWBALL WITH THE WHAT ARE YOUR DOING LOOK ON HER FACE?
SNOWBALL ON MY BED WITH SNOOWPUFF MY STUFFED CAT AND TEDDY BEAR.
SNOWBALL IN BETWEEN THE CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS BY THE CHRISTMAS TREE.
Snowball our white cat was rescued/adopted from a life of being a stray cat and going house to house trying to find food to eat. She also dealt with cruel neighbors. Finally, she found our front porch. One beautiful sunny Afternoon while Dad was laying on the glider taking a nap. Snowball knew she had to convince Dad to take her in the house so she jumped up on the glider with Dad and cuddled up to him and took a nap with him. When Dad realized this, he agreed to take her in and we named her Snowball. Snowball got her furrever home.
Adoption Story #2
Shandar is the Dog we had before we rescued/adopted her from the breeder.
As kids, we wanted a Dog. We knew Dad didn’t want another another animal but Mom and us kids did. I remember Dad saying something no more animals in the house until pigs fly or something like that. Dad liked animals just didn’t always want them in his house. Back to my story though, Mom started looking in the paper and eventually found Alaskan Malamutes. The Day came to go check out the Alaskan Malamutes so my youngest sister, Mom & Dad went to check them but they didn’t tell Dad where they were going. They were greeted by one of the Dogs the breeder owner. Bear was the Dog’s name and he was the Kal-Can Dog of the year at one time and he was a Champion Dog too. Finally they got to talk to the breeder and she finally agreed to to sell the runt of the litter a female Alaskan Malamute. We could take her that but had to agree to wait to get her spade/neutered in case she wanted to show her. Eventually she decided since she was the runt of the litter she wouldn’t make a good show. We disagreed but didn’t argue. Shandar was the best dispositioned female Alaskan Malamute, protective, playful Dog you could own. She was great with people too.
Adoption Story #3
ANGEL QUEEN TIGGER ON MY BED WITH MY WHITE STUFFED CAT AND MY WHITE STUFFED POLAR BEAR.
QUEEN TIGGER ON CURIO CABINET. TIGGER DIED 9-11-2015.
The Cat in the above pictures is Tigger my Grey striped Tabby Cat. Tigger earned her wings and went to the Rainbow Bridge on 9-11-2015. It was a very sad day for me.
Long story short, Tigger was Rescued out of a home with lots of other animals too. The owner, a co-worker of mine was thrilled to find out I was looking for a Kitten. Tigger lived in a bad home and the stories told by her previous owner could have been considered and even called abusive. My family and I couldn’t take it anymore and we agreed to rescue Tigger. However, we thought we were getting a kitten and didn’t find out until the previous owner gave her to us that she was a senior Cat. At that point and time we didn’t care and we gave Tigger a furrever, loving home something she deserved to have. We miss her every day.
Adoption Story #4
DAISY MAE AS A KITTEN LAYING ON MY TONY STEWART FLEECE BLANKET ON ME.
DAISY MAE IN HER RED HAT AFTER BECOMING A CROTCHETY COUGAR.
QUEEN DAISY MAE SHOWING OFF HER GREY AND WHITE BELLY.
DAISY MAE’S HALLOWEEN COSTUME IF SHE WERE DRESSING UP!!
ALWAYS DREAM BIG!!!!
Daisy Mae my current cat was adopted/rescued 15 years ago and 13 days. One night after Mom & Dad picked me up at work and brought me home, we could hear this sound that was very loud. I followed the loud noise with Mom & Dad following behind me. What we found was a kitten yowling at the top of her lungs for all she’s worth. We guestimated that she was around 4 weeks old give or take a few weeks. We fed her of course and gave her a warm bed to sleep which was in our garage. Even though Dad liked animals, he didn’t want another animal in the house. In fact he said, no more animals in the house “until Pigs fly”.
Pigs must of flown because out of the blue Dad finally decided to bring Daisy Mae inside with our Senior Cat Tigger. Although Tigger hissed some Daisy Mae didn’t hiss at all. Daisy Mae mellowed out Tigger and got Tigger to play more.
The day came that we were having my nephew Dylan’s 4th birthday and we decided to show the nieces and nephews the kitten we had found and so we took her to the garage. They loved her. We let them name the kitten. We wondered what crazy name they’d come with to name the kitten since they were young but they all decided on Daisy Mae.
Daisy Mae just turned 15 13 days ago and is still going strong. I love my Daisy Mae so, so very much.
The Cats in the drawing above are Tigger and Daisy Mae. Daisy Mae is on the Left and Tigger is on the Right.
I light my candle for all the Cats & Dogs who earned their wings and passed over the Rainbow Bridge, for those who got adopted/rescued and for those who need a furrever home. I love them all.
Daisy Mae And I are just heartbroken. We found out today more of our Kitty Cat friends have earned their wings and passed over The Rainbow Bridge. With 2020 being rough on us all in one way or another and Christmas around the corner, we’ve a lot to do including keeping 2020 at bay. The year 2020 has taken so many of our pets and Kitty Cat friends and made their Human owners heartbroken and really, really sad.
In the last few days, we have found out that we need send condolences to more Human pet owners. This time, they lost their Kitty Cats. To give these pet owners condolences please visit their sites and leave a comment. The most recent pet owners who lost a pet are:
Miss Ellen at 15 AND MEOWING who just lost Jinx, her beautiful Kitty Cat.
These 3 Kitty Cats joined the other pets who passed in 2020 and before and left their owners heartbroken. Although right now sadness and plenty of tears are in these pet owners eyes, in time their pain will ease but one thing is 100% for sure and that’s they’ll never forget their pet they lost.
Although all the pet owners who lost a friend in 2020 and before are sad right now always remember, your pet may not be by your side but will always be in your heart.
Your memories are golden of your pet and are meant to be shared with your friends & family. I don’t know what else to say Daisy Mae And I are just heartbroken at these deaths and so many happening too.
For those of you skeptical of The Rainbow Bridge, I assure you that there is a pet heaven too. Now I never heard of The Rainbow Bridge until I started blogging but always believed that there was a Pet heaven. God loves all his animals and will always love them.
To those who recently lost a pet, our condolences. If you ever lost any type of pet in 2020 or before, you know the heartbreak of losing a pet. Yes, I even know that heartbreak and sadly have experienced many times over like some of you probably have.
Best Wishes To All Of You.
Always remember my friends, Cats leave paw prints on our hearts.
I’m very thankful for these animals in the above picture because they are our friends and teach us that we need to be kind to everyone no matter how different we are. Always remember, We are all different in one way or another. I’m also thankful for finishing my 5 book Series WOOT WOOT!!!!!
My Sunday Selfies is of the two Cats above in the picture and also in the picture with Deer, Squirrel and Bunny Rabbit.
I’m excited and thrilled to tell you my wonderful readers I Did It, I Finally Did It, I Really Did It. Can I get a WOOT WOOT!! Book 5 of The Royal Murder Mysteries Series is now completed. Although this 5 book series was written for fun and done just to see if I could do it, I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be able to write this 5 book series.
After I first got started writing this 5 book series, I found myself setting small goals for myself and also large goals. For example, my small goals consisted of finishing a chapter and an example of a large goal is I would give myself a year to finish one book. Which was met for all books I might add. Also In my first year I wrote three books, In my second year I wrote one book and my third and final year my 5th book. Meeting all these goals met the world to me and really kept encouraging me.
Although writing this 5 book series was funto write, it was hard work a lot of hard work. I couldn’t have done it without the encouragement and mentoring from my friend Amorette Anderson who is also is an author and great writer. She encouraged me the whole way.
So if you’re thinking of being a writer but don’t think you have the talent or don’t think you can do it, think again. That dream of writing isn’t there by accident. If you’re going to dream Dream Big and nurture that writing dream. It won’t happen overnight but it will happen and let me tell you because I know from experience, those little goals in writing a book you complete and make you feel so good you should celebrate those too.
I still remember when I first started writing. It was way back when I was in college many, many years ago when my one professor took the class to hear Maya Angelou speak. Hearing this woman speak was just mesmerizing and just incredible. I can still here her telling everyone to never give up. After that, I started writing poems and short stories and just a few years ago found out I could write books too. I also wrote a post on some things you need to do or try to do and you can find that by going to Coronations, A Surprise, Jailbreak & Capture: The Royal Murder Mysteries – Book 5 Update . I do hope you go to the above link.
Good Luck With Your Writing. By the way, if you’re a blogger then you’re a writer.
Hi everyone and Happy Early Halloween. Daisy Mae And I hope you get lots of treats and toys. Daisy Mae is hoping for extra treats. Of course she will most likely get that and lots of scritches, cuddled and loving too. If I know Daisy Mae, she may go up to the master bedroom by the register on her Gobble, Gobble Turkey catnip pad she won from Ellen at 15AndMeowing. She loves that Gobble, Gobble catnip pad. Now onto Friendly Fill – Ins.
Daisy Mae’s Answers
1. I keep warm by sleeping by the register for most of the day but I do stay active some of the day.
2. I don’t need to be so demanding with Mom Crystal and her family but I want to be so demanding so I get my own way MOL, LOL.
3. I would want Here lies a smart, demanding and bossy Cat to be etched onto my tombstone.
4. If I heard something go bump in the night, I probably wouldn’t hear it unless it’s really loud because my hearing is going.
1. I keep eating a small meal for Dinner and a semi – big meal for Supper but don’t lose any weight.
2. I don’t need a Cat but I want a Cat hence the reason I got Daisy Mae 14+ years ago.
3. I would want a picture of a Grey Striped Tabby Cat and hear lies a feisty redhead that loves Cats and animals to be etched on my tombstone.
4. If I heard something go bump in the night, I probably wouldn’t think to much of it because I would think it’s Daisy Mae, something going on outside with the neighbors, some of the wildlife or something with house since the house is 105+ years old.
Because we didn’t want to get political, make anyone mad or even offend anyone, we didn’t put up the picture with the one carved Jack-O-Lantern could be considered political. So we cropped that one out of the picture but still have 2 Jack-O-Lanterns. We will put Daisy Mae’s picture first then the Jack-O-Lanterns. You will see each picture individually.
Hey everyone, Mom heard about thing Humans do to Cats. Apparently they try to take pictures of our tocks in October. Luckily, Mom Crystal saved me the torture and already had a picture of my back end so I didn’t have to go through the torture. I was in the Christmas Tree box at Christmas time.
