Hi Everyone, I thought I would share with you the Prologue of my book When Love & Murder Collide. I would appreciate it if you could tell me what you you think of it too. Also, I sure hope you can read this post because ever since WordPress has changed to the Block Editor, I’ve been trying to relearn things. Ever since they changed, I haven’t been able to choose to write in Classic Editor. No it’s Classic Block and trust me it’s not the same thing. Right now this post was written in Post/Paragraph mode. Hope your able to read this post. Well without further adieu let’s proceed to the Prologue which is below. ENJOY!!
It was 1981 and Diann and her two sisters Irene and Ilene had completed Elementary School in Stewart, Ireland and next semester Irene and Ilene would be starting seventh grade at the High School while she would be starting eighth grade. However, what happened next would change all their lives forever. Would it be for the better was yet to be determined. When Diann, Irene and Ilene’s Mom came into the room, she told her three Daughters that they would be changing schools next semester. After they got done moaning and wining, Diann said what her and her sisters were thinking. Mom, I think I speak for all us when I say we love our school and things are going fairly well. Irene and Ilene spoke up and said in unison, yes Mom we agree with Diann please do not make us change schools. Diann their Mother said, I am really sorry girls but it has been decided and your Father agrees. We are trying another school to see if the bullying against Diann lessens. Ilene said, when do we leave since you and Dad are so set on leaving? Well to answer your question about when do we leave? We leave in two months for Friendlyville. Your Father will stay behind as he will be starting his new duties. Diann said, new duties what are Dad’s new duties? Well your Father and I are happily and excited to say the crown will be passed down to your Father and his Coronation is in two weeks. Once your Father is crowned King, you three will become Princesses and we will become royalty. Diann, Irene, and Ilene’s Father’s Coronation Day finally came. They were all finally shown to the Throne Room. They all took their seats and waited for the time when their Father would be shown into the Throne Room to be crowned King. Thirty five minutes later with trumpets and horns blaring, they brought the new King in and and crowned him and put the royal purple robe on him. Then after they did that, they put special robes on Diann, Irene and Ilene and gave a special robe to their Mother too. After they all had been given their robes, they all knew their lives as regular children had just changed.
Two weeks before Diann and her two sisters were about to start High school, their Mother had a sit down emergency meeting with her three Daughters. They had a nice long talk about what they should do and finally decided they should hide the fact they are Princesses or have anything to do with royalty. Then because it was early in the Morning, their Mother took her three Daughters shopping for school clothes. When they had come home, it was around four in the Evening. They had so many shopping bags of school clothes and accessories it would be so hard to choose what to wear on the first day of High School. Finally it was time to eat Supper and sadly it would be their last Supper as a family for a while because the next Morning her two sisters, Mother and her would leave for some place called Friendlyville. That night Diann was really, really restless probably because she did not want to go to this place called Friendlyville. Mirium who was the royal food server brought the food up to everyone’s royal Bedroom so they were to be sure to have a good Breakfast before leaving for the Ireland Airport. After five and a half very long hours, they got to Friendlyville now for the hard part, finding some place to stay temporarily. Surprisingly, it only took them ten to fifteen minutes to find a place. The very next Morning Diann, Irene and Ilene’s Mother drove them over to the Friendlyville High School and went into the Reception Room where a man was sitting behind the desk doing some typing. Diann the Mother rang the bell on the desk and he finally came to help her. He said, How may I help you Maam? Well… I am here to register my three Daughters in this High School. The guy at the desk looked at her then said Maam, You do realize that the registration time is past? Diann the Mother said, That might be true but we are from Stewart, Ireland and so I ask you once again will you not register my three Daughters for this High School and if you will not then I will find someone who will. One moment Maam and I will get you a registration paper. Here you go. Write down everyone who you want to register, and what grades they will be going into and finally their birth dates of course. So Mrs. Royalty did just that and her three Daughters were registered for the Friendlyville High School just like that.
Despite all the bullying Diann had endured and Ilene tried to stop, the bullying continued and seemed to worsen each day. The main bully got really bold and decided to walk up to Diann one day at Dinner while in the High School Cafeteria and said something to the effect of Let us go fight after High School is out? With all the students that were eating with her and all the students surrounding her, they all waited with baited breath to see what her answer to the bully would be. Diann sat there a bit and finally said to her bully, I do not think so and the Bully walked away from her. It was 1986 and for the first time in a long time Diann had felt like she had done something good for her self and her self esteem seemed like it was so much better. She thought…. If I can just survive what bullying there is until Graduation Day, I might just make it. Two weeks later it was Graduation Day and many of the Seniors were home getting ready for their big day or at least that is what they were supposed to be doing. Diann said to her Mom, you know I will be so glad when I graduate tonight. OH Sweetheart, I am so proud of you despite everything that has happened to you. Thanks Mom. I hope things get better. Later that Night, Diann graduated from the Friendlyville High School and now was off to tackle finding the right college and then off and then off to find the right job in her field that she got her degrees in.
