My nephew got a new bow for his birthday. With plenty of practice he got a deer when he went out hunting on the first try. He was excited. Is this a hunting trophy? Not sure of your opinion but I think my nephew might think it is.
WHAT DREW ME TO THIS BOOK?
The illustration of a kitty cat looking into the mirror with a lion looking back at him caught my attention as well as the title of the book.
The book, I’M TIRED OF BEING ORDINARY, ARE YOU? is a 52 week advice on being extraordinary written by WM. ALLEN. It’s an entertaining, humorous book of advice with quotes and film references. We all want to be extraordinary and we also want to reach our full potential.
Do you dream about being extraordinary but think your status as a merely ordinary person is etched in stone? The truth is that it is never too late to change your life. The key is determination—-guided by a little sage advice from another “ordinary” individual in pursuit of an amazing life.
I’m Tired of Being Ordinary, Are You? is an entertaining and empowering guide that will change your life in one year–if you let it. Comprised of fifty-two steps that will lead you to the life you imagined (but deemed impossible), each weekly lesson begins with a joke and ends with a movie suggestion to keep you laughing and inspired as you undertake the difficult journey that lies ahead.
Wake up to your potential, and put your dreams into action. Remember: this is your life–why not discover just how incredible it can be?
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE BOOK:
There was a lot I liked about this book. It was entertaining, it had jokes and movie references that you could laugh at. Also, I liked the fact it was divided into 52 weeks or 1 year. Everybody’s life is a journey, this book just helps you with your journey and reach your potential. Love the title and the illustration of the kitten looking in the mirror with a lion looking back. In my opinion, this could be interpreted as kitten just being ordinary but when the kitten becomes extraordinary the kitten sees the lion in the mirror.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK:
This book was well written and the illustration on the front cover was well done. I can’t think of anything at this time that I didn’t like.
WHERE THIS BOOK CAN BE BOUGHT:
Wm. Allen’s book is available online at Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books – A – Million.
Wm. Allen’s blog is Harmony Books & Films, LLC . This is a great blog. I just love reading his posts/articles.
I named this picture A Pleasant Surprise because my nephew and his family thought the deer ate all his sunflowers. As it turns out, some of those sunflowers still bloomed. He was thrilled because he put a lot of work into planting them.
Below is the result of lots of hard work by this 15-year-old.
Yesterday I left comments on 4 different posts to meet my blogging neighbors. Today, my course work is to build on one of these comments that inspires me.
What Site And Post I Chose:
The site I Chose was The Joyful Soul Creates and the post I Chose was Elephantastic Birthday.
The Comment I’ve Chosen To Build Upon:
Samanthamurdochblog: Ah-how sweet! I can never make up my mind how to do light…I just do a vague scribble and hope it’s interpreted as a shadow.
The Joyful Soul Creates answered her and this is what her answer was: Haha that’s pretty much what I was doing, but now ive started trying to really think it through. I just signed up to some online colouring classes too which should help!🙂
The comment I have chosen to build upon and that inspired me is by samanthamurdochblog commenting on The Joyful Soul Creates(Lady Joyful) site. The post is called Elephantastic Birthday and the link is here . The comment is above.
Why I Chose This Comment:
Even though the comments between samanthamurdochblog and Lady Joyful were short, they were thought-provoking. They were discussing shadowing and coloring of the lighting of the card. I found it thought-provoking because I never thought about how to do shadowing, lighting and coloring and how it might affect the look of the post they are working on. They even discussed the interpretation of how it looks and what other people think as well. Lady Joyful took a coloring class in hopes to help her out with this issue.
This Is What The Card Looks Like When It Is Finished:
Why I Chose This Title?
I chose my blog title, CRYSTAL’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE because it identifies who I am and what my site is about.
Why I Chose This Tagline?
This tagline states what I’m about and love to do. It’s that simple. I love my family, country living, writing poetry and the more comes what ever else I like to. If I put everything I loved to in my tagline it would be a long tagline. That’s why I chose this title and tagline.
When we go to the zoo we go for entertainment not education but think of what we could learn from the animals at the zoo. Animals are great teachers. They can teach us a lot. What can animals teach us you ask? In my opinion, animals can teach us a lot. Animals can teach us how to:
- Take care of our kids.
- How animals and people should be treated.
- Animals gestures teach us not to take things for granted.
- Animals teach us they are not dumb.
These are only a few things animals teach us, so pay attention to the lesson there trying to teach us.
I mentioned animals can teach us a lot and taking care of their babies is one thing they excel at. Very rarely does an animal reject its baby. Animals are usually pretty loving to their babies and takes care of them very well.
Yes, I feel animals can teach us how they should be treated as well as people just by their expressions and gestures.
Animals have different expressions and gestures but be very careful because a caged up animal can turn on you at any second because their not tame. This teaches not to take animals for granted.
Animals aren’t dumb not by a long shot. In my opinion, a lot of animals are smarter than some people. Yes, we’ve all met animals and we’ve all met people. The verdict is usually the same. Animals come out smarter most of the time.
Please Don’t Abuse Or Neglect Animals!
Some animals are to be loving and stress-free pets. Other animals live in the wild. Either way, Don’t abuse or neglect them!
I’m including some links for abused and neglected animals if you want to read further.

The other night we had something exciting happen again. A bear came into our backyard. We think he may have even laid down in our daisies around that are around are back deck. As you see in the picture, he went to our salt lick then walked toward the camera. My neighbor saw his paw prints in the grass and measured them. The paw prints measured 1 inches long and 8 inches wide. I know to some that seeing a bear in your backyard doesn’t seem exciting but it is for us. Then to know he laid down in our daisies by our deck. Wish I would have had a game camera mounted on the deck facing the backyard. Still got pictures of the bear though.
Below are pictures of the bear that visited us. Also, there are pictures where “Big Daddy” Bear laid.
