Hi everyone, Daisy Mae here. If you don’t know who I am (shame on you). No really, if you don’t know who I am let me introduce myself. I’m Crystal’s pet Cat and the other half of CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE. I help out when something happens that Crystal can’t post.
The reason why she isn’t hear is because well she’s had a rough few months. As the title states, Life hit her and her family hard then through her some curve balls to top it all off. I guess it all started way back in April a few days before April 22, 2021. The Dad had started hurting some and then Mom started getting body aches too. Neither one thought anything about it because Dad was out mowing and Crystal picking up sticks so they blamed it all on either a Sinus Cold, Allergies, pollen and bending to much and using muscles she hasn’t used in a year’s time in Crystal’s case (don’t ask). After almost a weeks time and the pain hadn’t left yet it was then Crystal started suspecting something was off and wrong. 2 days later, Crystal’s youngest sister popped in to check in on everyone and when she heard Dad’s symptom’s she said we’re going to get you tested for COVID and that’s when Crystal spoke up and said, I want tested too. So on April 22, 2021 the day the Dad and Crystal were to get their first vaccine shot well that didn’t happen instead they went to this place called Faster Care. After hearing their symptoms they tested them both and the Dad’s Rapid COVID test was negative but Crystal’s COVID test was positive. The strange part is The Dad’s COVID test that was sent out came back positive and Crystal’s came back positive. That evening The Dad was sent to the ER due to Covid then the Hospital people sent Dad home then the following Monday he went to hospital by ambulance then came home a few days later then on Memorial Day Dad went back to the hospital by ambulance once again. Mom Crystal has gone from being a part time caregiver to a full time caregiver who cooks(well bakes mostly), cleans and cares for her Mother who hasn’t been out of the house for quite some time because her Dermatomyositus and Lupus has made her immobile.
I suppose some bright spots in all this is that Crystal’s Dad is progressing very slowly each and that she has won one big contest and some small ones too. The big contest she won the prizes were a Kindle Fire With Aleza, $150 Amazon Gift Card and a few EBooks.
We want to give a huge thanks to Ellen and “Nurse” Joanie for the Card. The picture of “Nurse” Joanie made my Human Mom smile and she loved it. It lifted her spirits greatly(which she needed might I add). Thanks to all our readers.
Crystal hopes to be back soon but is not sure when but I will pop in to post every now and then.

Do you work on the front lines? AKA at a hospital or Veterinarian Hospital or do work behind the scenes AKA at home. Either way know this, the work you’re doing at home or at some type of hospital your efforts are very much appreciated.
My one niece who is a Radiologist at a hospital up in Olean, New York. She has been told the hospital where she is at might get other Corona Virus cases from other hospitals and Clinics.

Hi everyone, How are you all among the Coronavirus deal? I was talking with Mom Crystal and she said that she is going silent for a bit. No we are not quitting our 3 blogs at all. She said she might post every now and then. You see we regrettably have some bad news to share. No Mom or I doesn’t have that bad old Coronavirus thankfully. Actually it’s worse. Mom Crystal got 4 emails today saying someone had infected her computer with a virus a while ago with private malware. Please be patient with us while we deal with possibly being hacked.
Hi and Welcome, I sure hope everyone is doing A OK. I want to talk to you today about something that happens more than we realize. Also, it’s rarely talked about. So what am I talking about? A doctor’s referral to another doctor that’s not really a referral at all. There’s really no name for it.
Introduction:
When we go to a doctor we there are so many things we expect from our doctors only we don’t always get it now do we? Whether we take our child to a Pediatrician, A PCP(Primary Care Physician), A Specialist or some other doctor every doctor comes with many questions. However, when a doctor after some time out of the blue starts pushing for you to see another doctor or specialist for no reason at all at least not any the doctor will admit when you keep asking you have no reason to think that doctor will lie to you. You trust and respect the doctor. But there are things that we can do and be careful of. Let’s take a look at what we can do and what we shouldn’t do (AKA The Pros And Cons). Let’s start with What We Can Do.
What We Can Do:
1.) When a doctor asks us questions we don’t understand, be sure to ask your doctor for clear clarification.
2.) Don’t be afraid to ask questions to your doctor even after he delivers his clarification if you still don’t understand.
3.) Always have medical questions to ask your doctor and if anymore questions pop up while your with your doctor, ask him/her.
4.) If your doctor starts pushing you to see another doctor/specialist after out of blue for some unexplained reason, first stick to your guns when you say no. Don’t ever go to another doctor unless its really necessary.
5.) Always ask your doctor is this a referral and the second part of that question to your doctor should be: Will I be able to come back to see you after seeing this doctor? Hopefully your doctor will be honest with you.
What We Shouldn’t Do:
1.) If your doctor says you need to see a specialist. Please, Please don’t just sit there and take your doctor’s word. If anything, ask why?
2.) Don’t just assume. I was always taught and forgive the language but I was always taught if you assume and I quote “You will make an ass out u and me”. Like I said it’s a quote.
3.) Never go to another doctor/specialist without asking will I be able to come back and see you?
My Story:
When I was a very young child, my mother took me to this pediatrician. He was really good with his young patients. I was old enough to understand but still young enough to see a Pediatrician. I saw this Pediatrician for many many years. Then out of the blue and unbeknownst to us, he started pushing for me to see a specialist every time I saw him. We asked him and gave his reason why. After a while and after a lot of pushing, we went and saw the specialist he recommended. What we didn’t know we saw my doctor for the last time and not by our choice. We went back to make an appointment with the receptionist to see my doctor and that’s when she said, What are you doing here? Mom explained why we were there and she said, he’s said he’s not your doctor anymore. We were like WHAT?? She said you went to see another doctor. We said, yes by his recommendation. We learned the Bad News from the Receptionist. The Receptionist of all people. Never did get an explanation from the doctor.
Don’t let this happen to you. We asked questions and still got the shaft somehow.
What Did We Learn?
We learned that you should always ask your doctor questions even after he’s given you his clarification. Even though he’s your doctor and you trust him/her, always ask when they start referring you to another doctor. Why? What’s your reasoning? Is it really necessary? Most important of all, will I be able to come back and see you if I go to this doctor?
I write this article not to be critical of doctors but so what happened to me doesn’t happen to any of you.
Hi Everyone and Welcome, as most of you might have noticed I went dark unexpectedly for a while. Sorry about that but it couldn’t be helped. I’m going to proceed to tell you why I went dark and that might help you understand. These last few months have been hectic, busy with unexpected situations popping up, winter storm causing the electric to go out for multiple days, getting ready for the holidays, trying to get everyone to come for the holidays and etc… is what’s been happening.
The title says it all about what happened in our little town here in Pennsylvania. Let me start at the beginning. Last Thursday(the Thursday before Thanksgiving) we had some electric glitches where our electric went off then came back on real quick. No big deal right? Wrong. As we soon learned that was just a warning that our electric was going to go out for a while(3 days to be exact). At 11:30 PM Eastern or a ‘Tad’ there after was when we lost it for good.
Since we got rain/ice/snow, trees were so heavy they were cracking and falling down, transformers were going. Lines were down. I have never heard our scanner so busy with lines down, trees down and etc… It was really bad. We learned that the storm not only took out a lot of lines and trees but it took out several transformers and 9 power sub-stations. Then because the storm was so big we were told electric wouldn’t be restored until after Thanksgiving. That of course was after 2 days of being told you’ll have your electric restored. Thankfully we have a gas stove. We might not have been able to use the stove but we were able to use the burners so we could fry food and use the stove top. How cold was it? I hate to admit this but it got so cold I literally slept in my clothes and heavy coat along with 3 extra blankets and I was still cold. So when did we finally get our electric back? 3 days later. Then the next day some people who were brought in to help get all the electric turned on before Thanksgiving but that didn’t happen for everyone. Then Didn’t they turn off our electric. Well a few hours later we got our electric back and hopefully so did some other people. So we cut it close for Thanksgiving hence our Thanksgiving miracle. More about that below in this post.
Now about our Thanksgiving miracle. I’m grateful for a lot but this Thanksgiving I had something huge to be grateful for to add to my list. You see we got our electric back just in time for Thanksgiving which meant we got our stove back, heat back and not going to my sisters for Thanksgiving. That isn’t a bad thing because she’s a good cook. We got to have everyone from the intermediate family here on Thanksgiving(12 people). So the Good Lord saw fit to take our electric away for a few days and He saw fit to give it back just in time to have Thanksgiving at our house. Miracles do happen and sometimes you’re blessed with multiple miracles at once. That’s what happened to my family and I.

You were a beautiful Domestic Medium Fur
With a white chest on fact with grey everywhere.
You also had a cute pink nose with freckles.
You were a very lucky kitty cat when a
Wonderful family came in to get a pet on
May 11, 2002 and they loved you so much that
They adopted you and took you to your
Furever home. You lived at your furever home for
16 1/2 years. In this time, you were 200% Diva all the
Way, You loved Bird TV and Snoopervising your peeps.
You also loved all kinds of boxes and when you were
Younger, you were an excellent leaper then when you
Became 15, you became a Crotchety Cougar. Your
Family loved everything about you and didn’t hate one
Thing about you. That says a lot about you as a Diva Cat.
As your furever family enjoyed having you as their pet
And having you as part of the family, you always
Enjoyed each other’s company, compassion, kindness
And love a cat owner has when they adopt a cat.
The time came every cat owner dreads and that is the
Day their cat goes over the Rainbow Bridge. Madi sadly

Was met by my Angel Tigger, other Cat Angels and
Cardinals who came to welcome Madi home
With open paws. The happy part about a cat
Going to the Rainbow Bridge is that they are not
Suffering anymore. The pain of losing Madi will
Ease with time but the pain never goes completely
Away but the memories you make with your cat will
Always be there. So come Spring and Summer and you
See beautiful butterflies flying about, remember that
When a butterfly shows up that is Madi checking that
You are doing OK, When it rains in the Fall
That’s Madi saying to you I’m here if you want to talk
And when it snows that’s Madi saying to you, you may
Hate to shovel snow but the next time you do,
Remember I am as unique as the snowflake that falls
To the ground in the Winter so don’t hate that snow
Because I come as snow in the Winter time. When cats
Leave us for the Rainbow Bridge, they leave pawprints
On our hearts so they can build bridges so they can

Queen Daisy Mae: And… And…
Queen Mom Deputy Sister Crystal: Another sad thing that is todayisthe anniversary of when a terrorist attack happened at the Twin Towersand killed several thousand people and injured several thousand people. The exact numbers are 2,996 people killed, over 6,000 people injured, additional people died of 9/11 – related cancer and respiratory diseases in the months and years following the attacks.

Queen Mom Deputy Sister Crystal: Yes and No Queen Daisy Mae. You see it’s bittersweet. It’s sad because she’s not with us anymore but happy because it’s her birthday and we remember what a wonderful lady she was and we have the memories to remember her by.

Queen Mom Deputy Sister Crystal:First Queen Daisy Mae my name is not Willie and I don’t care if Willie wants to or not.(private joke) Yes Queen Daisy Mae we have to and I’m really surprised you don’t want to talk about yourself or toot your own horn. Why Queen Daisy Mae, OH WHY?
Queen Daisy Mae: Because of Grandma.
Queen Mom Deputy Sister Crystal: But Queen Daisy Mae don’t you understand? You don’t remember Grandma because you came along after she passed away. Now as for white kind of cat you are….(interrupted by Queen Daisy Mae).

Queen Mom Deputy Sister Crystal: Queen Daisy Mae, the other shoe is going to drop but in a good way. Now let me answer what you consider to be the dreaded question. What kind of cat you are? You see in my opinion Queen Daisy Mae, you are not only a Tuxedo Cat but you are cute, adorable smart, intelligent, a joy, a blessing, man’s best friend and companion and much, much more.

Hello Everyone and Happy National Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. I find it ironic in a good way that butterflies have been out this week in full force. Granted we’ve had no rain only sunshine but it’s like the butterflies know today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day for all of our pets. Above are just a few of pets of mine I lost. My last pet I lost was my cat Tigger who I lost on 9-11-2015.
What is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day?
In short, Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is a day set aside to remember all your pets that’s passed over the Rainbow Bridge. My pets from when I was child to when I was an adult were many. I’ve had Chameleons, Dogs, Cats and I’m sure there were more I can’t remember. I remember all of my pets that have went over the Rainbow Bridge.
Remember, today isn’t a sad day but a happy day because our pets aren’t suffering anymore.
Now that the Superbowl is over and we know who won and no it wasn’t the Patriots. I decided to have some fun with my pictures. I played the Superbowl with my pictures.
