It’s Finally Done: Shopping For My Secret Paw!!

Hi everyone, it’s that time of the of the year for doing Secret Paw. What’s Secret Paw you ask?? Well…for those of you who don’t know, Secret Paw is buying a  surprise Christmas gift for that special Cat or other pet or pets. I got in it again this year and when Mom Crystal and I found who our Secret Paw was, we started shopping on Amazon right away well Mom Crystal did anyway. All gifts that were picked out had to be approved by me so that took until Cyber Monday Night when we literally had only 3 minutes and 8 seconds to place our order so we cut it close but the order was placed in time. MEOW, Thank Heavens for that.

We love our Secret Paw and think it will be a surprise to our Secret Paw too. Mom Crystal picked out some nice things but you know how Amazon is with Subscribe and Save…Even if you only want to order it once they revert it back to Subscribe and Save so that’s why it took so long to pick things out. But in the end , I’m happy with what we got and Mom Crystal was able to use a coupon Amazon. Boy am I excited to see what my Secret Paw got me, who it is, and where there from.

1. My favorite Christmas (or Hanukkah) gift is When I got my furrever and loving home( OK so it was September when I got my loving & furrever home but close enough).

2. This holiday season I will miss Mom Crystal’s fleece Tony Stewart blanket.

3. I would like Santa to bring me no the whole world a special gift for everyone including Mom Crystal and myself. Santa I really would like a new catnip pad to lay on that has the good catnip Hint, Hint.

4. You might find a gift from Secret Paw under my Christmas tree this year.

Is Santa Claus Real? (The History Of Santa Claus)

Welcome & Introduction:

Welcome to all my readers and Merry Christmas to you to. Have any of you asked the question, what if Santa Claus were a real person? Well I’m here to let you all in on  a Christmas secret. Santa is a real person. We think when we tell our children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews that you better be good because Santa Claus is coming to town. Do we really think we can pull the wool over their eyes or is it just easier for them  to believe? Do you know it’s easier for a child to believe in Santa Claus than it is for an adult to believe in Santa Claus? Let’s take a look at that from a Child’s point of view and an adult’s point of view.

History Of Santa Claus:

I was so interested in finding out if Santa Claus was real or a figment of our imagination. Well I checked on the internet and lo and behold I found my answer. Would you believe Santa Claus is a real person. I can already hear some of you saying Yeah Right.

Did you know the legend of Santa Claus can be traced back hundreds of years to to a monk named St. Nicholas. It is believed that Nicholas was born sometime around 280 A.D. He was much admired for his piety and kindness, St. Nicholas became the subject of many legends. It is said that he gave away all his inherited wealth and traveled the countryside helping the poor and the sick. One of the best-known St. Nicholas stories is the time he saved three poor sisters from being sold into slavery or prostitution by their father by providing them with a dowry so they could be married. 

Over the course of many years, Nicholas’s popularity spread and he became known as the protector of children and sailors. His feast day is celebrated on the anniversary of his death, December 6. This was traditionally considered a lucky day to make large purchases or to get married. By Renaissance, St. Nicholas was the most popular saint in Europe. Even after the Protestant Reformation, when the veneration of saints began to be discouraged, St. Nicholas maintained a positive reputation, especially in Holland.

Did you know? The Salvation Army has been sending Santa Claus-clad donation collectors into the streets since the 1890’s. 

From A Child’s Point Of View:

From a child’s point of view Santa Claus is real. To them a “fat guy” in a red suit giving good little good girls and boys extra presents on Christmas Eve(December 24) is like hitting the jackpot. They don’t think much about what they have to until closer Christmas. Then one day some kid spoils it for them and says Santa Claus isn’t a real person. Well guess what children? Keep writing those letters to Santa Claus and keep believing in Santa Claus because he is real.

From An Adult’s Point Of View:

As we get older and grow into an adult, we seem to find it harder to believe in Santa Claus than a child. To an adult, telling a child you better be good or Santa Claus won’t come is a good way to motivate a child to do things. So if an adult must be a kid at heart to believe in Santa Claus which is possible because I’m an adult and a kid at heart too and yes I still believe Santa Claus.

So What Have We Learned?:

We have learned Santa Claus is real, It’s easier for a child to believe in Santa Claus than an adult, Don’t spoil your kid’s fun and tell them Santa Claus isn’t real just let them believe and an adult must be a child at heart to believe in Santa Claus.

Queen Mom Crystal: For what Queen Daisy Mae?

Queen Daisy Mae: I’m really surprised. You forgot didn’t you? You forgot about Mother’s Day and Friendly Fill – Ins didn’t you? Be honest with me.

Queen Mom Crystal: Well Queen Daisy Mae I will be honest with you. I didn’t forget about Mother’s Day. In fact I wrote a poem that will coming out on Sunday or Monday and I was going to forgo Friendly Fill – Ins this week. What do you have to say to that?

Queen Daisy Mae: MOM, MOM, MOM, MOM I just had the most wonderful idea.

Queen Mom Crystal: UUUUHHHH……… OOOOHHHHH!!!! What’s your most wonderful idea Queen Daisy Mae?

Queen Daisy Mae: Well Queen Mom Crystal in honor of Mother’s Day I thought I would do Friendly Fill – Fill Ins this week. You know answer ALL four questions. What do you say? OH please, please, please, please let me do it, let me do it(Queen Daisy Mae is jumping up and down at this point and begging).

Queen Mom Crystal: (Queen Mom Crystal is giggling by now) Well……… I don’t know. I guess it wouldn’t hurt anything and who knows if you do a good job maybe you can do it more often.

Queen Daisy Mae: And the verdict is…??

Queen Mom Crystal: Oh what the heck. Go for it Queen Daisy Mae.

Queen Daisy Mae: REALLY!!?? REALLY!!?? You mean it?? You really mean it??

Queen Mom Crystal: Yes Queen Daisy Mae I mean it. You’re in charge of doing Friendly Fill – Ins. Please don’t mess this up.

Queen Daisy Mae: OH believe me Queen Mom Crystal I won’t let you down. NO, NO, NO, NO!!

Queen Mom Crystal: I’m very proud and privileged to present Queen Daisy Mae doing Friendly Fill – Ins. So without further adieu let’s go to Friendly Fill – Ins: Mother’s Day Style with Queen Daisy Mae.

1.) 2005-2006 was a very good year. This was the year I got my forever home. That’s right folks, I’m going to be the big 13 on Sept. 12.

2.) There is nothing quite like a forever and loving home.

3.) If I had a talk show, I would want to interview the Queen Mom Crystal’s favorite author Amorette Anderson and also want to interview Miss Ellen and her cats from 15 And Meowing.com. I guess I would ask her cats what’s it like to live with multiple cats and ask Miss Ellen how on earth does she manage all those cats?

4.) There is nothing I wouldn’t do for Fancy Feast. Chicken variety and it must be Classic Pate` since they discontinued my favorite, favorite kind.

So to ALL the Mother’s out there whether you have children or are the Mother of a furfriend. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO YOU ALL!! I ALSO WANT TO WISH MY MOM A SPECIAL MOTHER’S DAY WISH.

Sometimes Sparks comes easy for me and sometimes not. Ever had that happened. On the Morning of October 6, 2018, I was reading my devotions with the Lord and came across something interesting I felt I should share with you. First let me tell you what it was about. My devotion from Our Daily Bread was called God Was at Columbine. It was about the killings at Columbine School. I know you’re probably wondering how is killing positive and encouraging. Below is what I found out and it’s positive and encouraging.

This item appeared in a newspaper after the 1999 fatal shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado:

Dear God: Why didn’t you save the children of the Littleton school?

Interesting thought isn’t it? Even though God may not be allowed in schools He’s always there no matter what and thankfully He is.

Now Daisy Mae don’t get overly excited. Sister Crystal you and the rest of my family still believe everyday – right?  Absolutely Daisy Mae. Yippee!! Yippee!! INTRODUCTION:

Hello Everyone, can you believe 2017 is gone and 2018 is here already? I can’t. This is my first post of the year for this site.

Did any of you make New Year’s resolutions? Sister Crystal doesn’t believe in making resolutions and honestly I don’t either. This way nobody can blame you for breaking your New Year’s resolutions.

Sister Crystal started  the new year off right by getting nominated for two awards by MABEAUTILITY . The awards Sister Crystal received were the The Don’t Hate, Appreciate Award: G❤❤d Vibes Only – My First Post Of 2018 and WINNING THE LIEBSTER AWARD – MY SECOND AWARD OF 2018.  I think it’s just great that she won these awards and I want to thank her for giving me equal billing for this site and she allows me to post on the other site too.

  1. What is your favorite pet and/or animal? Cats
  2. What is your job and why do you like it or dislike it so much? I’m unemployed-enough said.
  3. What is your favorite sport and why? Don’t have a favorite sport anymore. Why? Since the kneeling during the National Anthem deal I have become less interested.
  4. Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? If so what were they? Don’t believe in making New Year’s resolutions. I take each day one day at a time plus nobody can say I broke my New Year’s resolutions.
  5. What did you like most about 2017? Christmas, my birthday and Thanksgiving.
  6. What did you like least about 2017? Mom being in the hospital.
  7. What is your hobby besides blogging? I used to cross-stitch. 
  8. What did you like most about Christmas and New Year’s? The fact our family got together and we had kids laughing and giggling in the house. Take note that the kids I mention are ages 21 down to 15.
  9. What is your blog about? My blog is about photos, blogging, country living, animals and much, much more. Every-Now-And-Then my cat will do some posting too.
  10. What would you like to share about yourself to introduce yourself to the readers? My name is Crystal Stewart and my cat’s name is Daisy Mae. I just had my 50th birthday in December and I enjoy being 50. I enjoy blogging and meeting new people/animals. I like to read too mostly mystery/suspense books but I’m open to all genres.
  11. How did you create the name of your blog? I thought about it and went with CRYSTAL’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE that I just changed to CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE. The only thing was that I wanted my site to be more than just photos, I wanted to blog on that site too. Daisy Mae officially became part of the website as of January 1, 2018. I had so many ideas for a name.
