Welcome to all my readers and Merry Christmas to you to. Have any of you asked the question, what if Santa Claus were a real person? Well I’m here to let you all in on a Christmas secret. Santa is a real person. We think when we tell our children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews that you better be good because Santa Claus is coming to town. Do we really think we can pull the wool over their eyes or is it just easier for them to believe? Do you know it’s easier for a child to believe in Santa Claus than it is for an adult to believe in Santa Claus? Let’s take a look at that from a Child’s point of view and an adult’s point of view.
History Of Santa Claus:
I was so interested in finding out if Santa Claus was real or a figment of our imagination. Well I checked on the internet and lo and behold I found my answer. Would you believe Santa Claus is a real person. I can already hear some of you saying Yeah Right.
Did you know the legend of Santa Claus can be traced back hundreds of years to to a monk named St. Nicholas. It is believed that Nicholas was born sometime around 280 A.D. He was much admired for his piety and kindness, St. Nicholas became the subject of many legends. It is said that he gave away all his inherited wealth and traveled the countryside helping the poor and the sick. One of the best-known St. Nicholas stories is the time he saved three poor sisters from being sold into slavery or prostitution by their father by providing them with a dowry so they could be married.
Over the course of many years, Nicholas’s popularity spread and he became known as the protector of children and sailors. His feast day is celebrated on the anniversary of his death, December 6. This was traditionally considered a lucky day to make large purchases or to get married. By Renaissance, St. Nicholas was the most popular saint in Europe. Even after the Protestant Reformation, when the veneration of saints began to be discouraged, St. Nicholas maintained a positive reputation, especially in Holland.
Did you know? The Salvation Army has been sending Santa Claus-clad donation collectors into the streets since the 1890’s.
From A Child’s Point Of View:
From a child’s point of view Santa Claus is real. To them a “fat guy” in a red suit giving good little good girls and boys extra presents on Christmas Eve(December 24) is like hitting the jackpot. They don’t think much about what they have to until closer Christmas. Then one day some kid spoils it for them and says Santa Claus isn’t a real person. Well guess what children? Keep writing those letters to Santa Claus and keep believing in Santa Claus because he is real.
From An Adult’s Point Of View:
As we get older and grow into an adult, we seem to find it harder to believe in Santa Claus than a child. To an adult, telling a child you better be good or Santa Claus won’t come is a good way to motivate a child to do things. So if an adult must be a kid at heart to believe in Santa Claus which is possible because I’m an adult and a kid at heart too and yes I still believe Santa Claus.
So What Have We Learned?:
We have learned Santa Claus is real, It’s easier for a child to believe in Santa Claus than an adult, Don’t spoil your kid’s fun and tell them Santa Claus isn’t real just let them believe and an adult must be a child at heart to believe in Santa Claus.

It’s 24 days until Christmas and I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet… Ahhhh….. What am I going to do? I know what I’m getting 6 people, I just have to order it. As for my 4 Nieces and 1 Nephew well I have no idea what I’m buying them. Since the four girls are either in college or just graduated from college, I’m going for something that is practical. As for my Nephew, he being 17 mentioned he needed a new wallet so I’m trying for that. Since they are getting gift cards or checks, I wanted something small for them to open. If you have any suggestions I am open to hearing. As nothing has been decided yet.
What are you getting your kids and/or Grandkids? Please tell me.

DAISY MAE’S ANSWER’S
Every Christmas, I get either put upstairs or put down in the basement since the other humans bring a dog. That’s OK though because that means the dog isn’t going after me. I also make sure there is enough room under the Christmas tree for all the catnip I’m expecting to get from Santa Paws. I have Santa Paws wrapped around my 4 little white paws with pink pads.
The day after Christmas, I explore all the boxes and bags that my wonderful humans get out again even if it’s just briefly.
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and what was I doing but making room for all the catnip and other gifts I asked Santa Paws under the Christmas tree.
All I want for Christmas is catnip, catnip, catnip and even more catnip. I will also take toys and more catnip. Any questions Santa Paws?
Every Christmas, I try to get together with most of my family and celebrate the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. I also ask for an impossible present I know I probably won’t get.
The day after Christmas, I usually help Mom and Dad take down Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree. We believe that you can’t go into the next year with your Christmas tree up and you certainly don’t want the problems of 2018 to follow you. Start the next year on a clean slate.
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house I was making sure that there was room under the tree for ALL my gifts and big gifts I asked Santa Clause for. I don’t know why he wouldn’t bring them because he told me what lists I was on when I was checking with Santa Paws what lists my Queen Daisy Mae was on. As it so happened Santa Clause and Santa Paws said we were both on the nice and very nice lists so why wouldn’t he give me what I asked for?
All I want for Christmas is a printer for my computer(not very expensive) and a huge prayer to be answered that I’ve been praying for a while now.

My nephew thought all the sunflowers he planted weren’t going to come up. Boy did he get a pleasant Surprise when he saw that some of his sunflowers actually did grow. In the above picture is my nephew with his sunflowers.
