Hi everyone and welcome, Daisy Mae and I are glad you are here. For those who haven’t heard by now Google+ is going away completely as of April 2, 2019.
We want you to know this because this is going to cause some troubles for us. No we aren’t going away. However, those of you who require G+/Blogger only when commenting well…that’s going to be a problem. Why you ask? It’s because we won’t be able to comment on your blog anymore. We’ll continue to follow you but we won’t be able to comment. However, those of you that allow Name/Blog URL well we’ll do our best to comment. We understand why some of you don’t allow anonymous people who comment. We understand it’s because of Spammers.
We are sorry we won’t be able to comment as of April 2. We’ll be reading even if we can’t comment. I found this out not through an e-mail from Google+(which would’ve nice) but noooooooooooooooooo, I had to hear it from someone on Disqus. Glad he told me too.
We wrote this so all of you could be prepared and make any changes to your blog if you wish to do so. We’ll see you at your blog hopefully.
I promised you more Meow-O-Ween pictures and when I told Queen Mom Deputy Sister Crystal what I promised she was thrilled. Actually, she said she had Meow-O-Ween pictures that haven’t been posted yet. So she kindly said I could use them.

Writing book reviews can be fun or it can be frustrating. Let me explain. You see writing reviews on my blog and Goodreads is easy and fun. However, if you want to write a review on Amazon you have to purchase so much on Pay Pal, Debit Card, Credit Card and etc… They have strict rules.
I bought about 100+ books for free of different reviews and have received 3 books from 2 different authors for my honest reviews. No thanks to Amazon I can’t review a book on Amazon unless I spend a minimum amount of $50.00 I think. Not Good. I’m going to contact them again and see what happens. Right now I’m not a “happy camper”. Wish me Luck. I’ll need it.
Once again. Welcome to CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE. No we are not just a photo-blogging site but the site is about Animals, Photos, Blogging, Country Living, Family, Poetry And Much, Much More. I will be doing a book review on the book I won, SWEET BREATH of MEMORY by ARIELLA COHEN.
AUTHOR’S BOOK SYNOPSIS
With its tree-lined streets, vibrant downtown and curbside planters of spring bulbs, Amberley, Massachusetts, seems a good place for Cate Saunders to start over. It’s been two years since her husband, John, was killed in Iraq and life has been a struggle. Her new job as a caregiver doesn’t pay much, but the locals are welcoming. In fact, Cate has barely unpacked before she’s drawn–reluctantly at first—into a circle of friends.
There’s diner-owner Gaby, who nourishes her customers’ spirits as well as their bodies; feisty Beatrice, who kept the town going when its men marched off to WWII; wise-cracking MaryLou, as formidable as Fort Knox but with the same heart of gold; and, Sheila, whose Italian grocery is the soul of the place. As Amberley reveals itself to be a town shaped by war, Cate encounters another kindred spirit—a Holocaust survivor with whom she feels a deep connection. When revelations about John’s death threaten Cate’s new-found peace of mind, these sister-in-arms’ stories show her an unexpected way forward. And Cate comes to understand that although we suffer loss alone, we heal by sharing our most treasured memories.
MY HONEST REVIEW
I won this book and got it in the middle of vacation. I got the book on Monday, 7-16-2018. I took the book back with me and started reading it that afternoon. I loved the book so much I hated to put it down it was that good.
Usually when I read a book with a lot going on its just hard to follow but Ariella Cohen pulled everything together fantastically. I got this book on Monday and had it read by Wednesday. I now follow her blog and found out she has a sequel planned to the book SWEET BREATH of MEMORY. I can’t wait. There is so much I could say about this book but I’ll put it in a few words instead. The book is fantastic. I look forward to the sequel.

SWEET BREATH OF MEMORY(FROM GOODREADS)
SWEET BREATH of MEMORY IS “…a heartwarming story of survival, foregiveness, and moving on.” – Booklist. The novel is available in trade paperback, ebook and Large Print hardcover.
Ariella believes in the healing power of cat purrs, coffee, Vivaldi and almond cookies. During the last summer Olympics, she felt compelled to run into the garden and prove she’s still a gymnast. It wasn’t pretty. Ariella lives in New England but her dream self resides in County Mayo, Ireland. She graduated with honors from Barnard College, Colombia University, and attended the Hebrew University as a visiting scholar. Her three years in Jerusalem were magical. After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, she somehow passed the NY & NJ bars.

On January 21, 2018, I asked you to caption my squirrel picture which is above. I want to thank everyone who sent me captions for the above picture. The captions were so good I had a hard time choosing. I finally decided on the caption that kittiesblue from The Cat On My Head. You’ll see the winning caption above. Congratulations.
Please note that I’ll probably ask for help with captioning other pictures in the future.
