Friendly Fill – Ins

1.) I would love to be a personal assistant to Amorette Anderson who is an author. I think it would be fun and interesting.

2.) If I had a boat, I would name it Tigger after my last cat who was a Tabby Cat. She went over the Rainbow Bridge on 9-11-2015.😿😿 I have no idea when she was born.

3.) I want to improve my writing skills and improve on the virtue of patience.

4.) Surprises are sometimes good and sometimes bad but rarely what you want them to be. I wish you all good surprises.

Nashville Photo Gallery

My one niece who is going for her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy at Slippery Rock University here in Pennsylvania. She’s been studying and doing  what the university calls Clinicals. What are Clinicals?  It’s similar to an internship. It’s hands on learning and a way to get better. The students have to do so many weeks out of state in Clinicals and so many weeks in state. One of the places out of state she chose was a place in Nashville. The places in the state of Pennsylvania she chose was close to her home luckily. She chose a place in Cranberry, PA and also at the VA in Butler, PA. She gets her Doctor coat this year and will graduate in May of 2020. I may be partial but I am a very proud Aunt.

While down in Nashville she sent us a bunch of pictures. So I thought I’d share  some with you. ENJOY. She liked Nashville so much she wouldn’t mind going back.

Family Homemade Ice Cream Recipe

This recipe for Homemade Ice Cream is not only tested and tried but this recipe has also made its rounds through the family. You see my Family Homemade Ice Cream Recipe was passed down from Great Grandmother to my mother and you guessed it, I got the recipe from my mother. Now onto the recipe.

If you don’t have a Ice Cream Freezer/Container you can usually find one at, Walmart or another shopping store/mall that might have one.

Introducing Dylan (Selfies)

I would like to Introduce one of our yearlings to you. Her name is Dylan. I know Dylan is a boys name but we named her this because she eats a lot and as much as my 16 year old nephew who also is named Dylan. Yes my nephew eats a lot too.

You’ll remember way back in late 2018 or early 2019, I asked you all if you knew what kind of animal came to our campsite. One nice person told me it was probably a deer who was a few days or few weeks old. Then she told me she hoped she made it through the winter. I’m happy to say she did. However, she’s not doing good. Have you ever heard of Mange or Wasting Disease? Then you know it usually doesn’t end well for the animal who has it. I’m sorry to say, I suspect she has one of these two diseases. The first picture I have of Dylan is Below as well as others.

Dylan At A Very Young Age Around Oct. 29, 2018 (give or take a day either way).

Dylan Trying To Find Food In January 2019.

Dylan Eating In March (She Looks Good Now But Wait).

Dylan Starting To Show Signs In Her Fur In March 2019.

Dylan Looking Pretty Scruffy Around March 2019.

Dylan’s Backside Starting To Look Bad Around April 2019.

Dylan Starting To Look Worse Around April 29, 2019.

Dylan Getting Some Comfort From A Mama Deer (not necessarily his Mama).

This Is What Dylan Looks Like On May 2019.

Now you’ve seen what can happen to a Deer or other animal if they contract Wasting Disease or Mange. This poor girl was very fortunate and made it through the Winter. Since she was probably a late deer being born and may have even lost her Mama for all we know.

All I know is some of her sores look to have healed. Anyhow, she knows where to get her food and knows how to survive.

What Mother Means To Me

Poem Written By: Crystal Stewart

Poem Written On: 5-4-2019

The word Mother means unconditional

Love. The word Mother means helper

Without expecting anything in return.

The word Mother means my personal

Angel here on earth. The word

Mother means happiness and

Encouragement. The word Mother

Means you overlook all flaws.

Friendly Fill – Ins: Mother’s Day Style

Hi everyone and welcome to CRYSTAL AND DAISY MAE’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE for another edition of Friendly Fill – Ins. Only this time Daisy Mae came to me and said she wanted to do a special Mother’s Day edition of Friendly Fill – Ins. So I have given Daisy Mae to take charge. OH I hope you like it. Just so you know this will be as much a surprise for me as it is for you.🙀🙀

Queen Daisy Mae: MOM, MOM, MOM, MOM

Queen Mom Crystal: What is it Daisy Mae? I’m really busy right now.

Queen Daisy Mae: To busy to give me your attention?

Queen Mom Crystal: For what Queen Daisy Mae?

Queen Daisy Mae: I’m really surprised. You forgot didn’t you? You forgot about Mother’s Day and Friendly Fill – Ins didn’t you? Be honest with me.

Queen Mom Crystal: Well Queen Daisy Mae I will be honest with you. I didn’t forget about Mother’s Day. In fact I wrote a poem that will coming out on Sunday or Monday and I was going to forgo Friendly Fill – Ins this week. What do you have to say to that?

Queen Daisy Mae: MOM, MOM, MOM, MOM I just had the most wonderful idea.

Queen Mom Crystal: UUUUHHHH……… OOOOHHHHH!!!! What’s your most wonderful idea Queen Daisy Mae?

Queen Daisy Mae: Well Queen Mom Crystal in honor of Mother’s Day I thought I would do Friendly Fill – Fill Ins this week. You know answer ALL four questions. What do you say? OH please, please, please, please let me do it, let me do it(Queen Daisy Mae is jumping up and down at this point and begging).

Queen Mom Crystal: (Queen Mom Crystal is giggling by now) Well……… I don’t know. I guess it wouldn’t hurt anything and who knows if you do a good job maybe you can do it more often.

Queen Daisy Mae: And the verdict is…??

Queen Mom Crystal: Oh what the heck. Go for it Queen Daisy Mae.

Queen Daisy Mae: REALLY!!?? REALLY!!?? You mean it?? You really mean it??

Queen Mom Crystal: Yes Queen Daisy Mae I mean it. You’re in charge of doing Friendly Fill – Ins. Please don’t mess this up.

Queen Daisy Mae: OH believe me Queen Mom Crystal I won’t let you down. NO, NO, NO, NO!!

Queen Mom Crystal: I’m very proud and privileged to present Queen Daisy Mae doing Friendly Fill – Ins. So without further adieu let’s go to Friendly Fill – Ins: Mother’s Day Style with Queen Daisy Mae.

1.) 2005-2006 was a very good year. This was the year I got my forever home. That’s right folks, I’m going to be the big 13 on Sept. 12.

2.) There is nothing quite like a forever and loving home.

3.) If I had a talk show, I would want to interview the Queen Mom Crystal’s favorite author Amorette Anderson and also want to interview Miss Ellen and her cats from 15 And I guess I would ask her cats what’s it like to live with multiple cats and ask Miss Ellen how on earth does she manage all those cats?

4.) There is nothing I wouldn’t do for Fancy Feast. Chicken variety and it must be Classic Pate` since they discontinued my favorite, favorite kind.

So to ALL the Mother’s out there whether you have children or are the Mother of a furfriend. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO YOU ALL!! I ALSO WANT TO WISH MY MOM A SPECIAL MOTHER’S DAY WISH.

Now I don’t know about anyone else but in my opinion bacon in almost any recipe is great and you can’t go wrong. Today’s recipe comes from a wonderful site called Two Spoiled Cats . This site I just love.

Ten Eggs (important ingredient in an omelette!)

  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 dashes hot pepper sauce, or to taste
  • 1/2 pound bacon – cooked, and chopped into bite – size pieces
  • 1 (4 i) can black olives, drained
  • 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/3 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 3/4 cup Colby – Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat an 8 inch square baking dish with non – stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine eggs and milk. With an electric mixer, beat until frothy. Blend in salt and hot pepper sauce. Stir in bacon, olives, tomatoes, green onions, mushrooms and cheese. Pour into prepared pan, and cover with lid or aluminum foil.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until eggs are set in the center.

Baker’s Note

If there is an ingredient you either don’t like  or want in your River Omelette DON’T PUT IT IN!! It’s that easy. As for the cheese if you prefer American, Provolone, Swiss or some other cheese instead of Colby – Monterey Jack cheese please feel free to use it. As we all know THAT the bacon is the most important ingredient then the eggs. Now maybe you’ll try it for Breakfast, another meal or even serve your mother Breakfast in bed.

Sabi Saturday

The picture below is of an actual Bear my uncle shot many, many years ago. This is the Bear head. It was passed down to my Dad after my uncle died. He was into hunting. There is nothing fake about this Bear. I can’t tell you how old this bear is because I don’t know. But trust me, he’s old. Also, you see below the Bear head is part of an old clock. Like the Bear Head I have no idea how old the clock is either.
